SERVICE DAY - Tuesday
If your trash isn't picked up, please wait until after 7:00 PM the day of pickup before calling Constable.
Please store your bins and yard waste bag(s) in your garage or behind your fence in your backyard. If that isn't possible, please try to store them so they aren't visible from the front.
Your trash bins and yard waste should be at the curb after 5:00 PM the day before or no later than 7:00 AM the day of pickup. Please put the bins away as soon as you can after they have been emptied.

New Years Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day (Saturday, July 4th). Normal pickup on Tuesday
Labor Day (Monday, September 7th). Our pickup will be on Wednesday, September 9th.
Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26th). Normal pickup on Tuesday.
Christmas (Friday, December 25th). Normal pickup on Tuesday.
Only holidays that fall on Monday or Tuesday will affect your pick-up day. Holidays that fall after Tuesday or on weekend days have no effect on your schedule, and your trash will be picked up on your regularly scheduled day.
TRASH AND RECYCLE BINS
A Sixty-five (65) gallon bin provided by Constable Sanitation - other sizes may be available upon request.
- Have ALL items at the curb by 7:00 AM.
- Bins should be three (3) feet apart
- If you have trash that won't fit in the bin, you can put up to 10 kitchen sized bags or 5 contractor size bags next to the bin and it will be picked up for no extra fee.
- For additional recycling that doesn't fit in the bin, put it in a container marked as recycle next to the bin. Extra cardboard can be cut to be 2' X 2', flattened, and tied with a string set out by the container.

YARD WASTE
Unlimited yard waste is included. Yard waste needs to either be in brown yard waste bags or bundled together in 3ft x 3ft bundles. They should be tied together with twine or duct tape so they can be easily lifted and placed in the truck.
RECYCLING INFORMATION
Constable provides a 65-gal recycling bin with a blue lid. If you have recycling that doesn't fit inside the cart, it may be placed in another container. If you have extra boxes, they will need to be flattened and bundled together. The cardboard can be cut into 2'x2' sections, tied with twine, and set on the ground next to the cart for collection. BULK ITEM PICK-UP
Constable will collect one bulk item on the 4th collection day of each month.
Bulk item pickup includes, but is not limited to the following:
- A small desk
- Two-seat sofa
- Electronics (50 pounds or lighter)
- Kitchen table and chairs
- Carpet (up to five 3'x3' rolls)
- Full size or smaller mattress & box springs
Items not eligible for bulk pick up:
- Tires
- Concrete materials
- Sheets of glass
- Large pianos
- Construction material
- Cardboard boxes (These can be broken down and set out in or beside recycling bin for normal pick up. Broken down boxes must be no larger than the recycling bin.)

We have recycling centers near us, one for many household items that are not collected with our trash service such as glass and metal, and the other for hazardous materials, such as paint and household cleaning products.

RECYCLING CENTER
If you would like to recycle something that is not on the above chart, please visit the Overland Park Recycling Center which is located at 11921 Hardy St, Overland Park, behind the fire station on 119th St. Phone 913-901-6002
While the Recycling Center closes at 4 p.m., the last entry into the center is at 3:50 p.m. This allows visitors time to drop off items and clear the facility by closing time.

- Tuesday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. The last entry into the facility is at 3:50 pm.
- Saturday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The last entry into the facility is at 3:50 pm.
- Sunday and Monday - Closed
- Check for Holiday closures.
HAZARDOUS WASTE SITE
If you have paint and other hazardous materials to dispose of, contact Johnson County Hazardous Waste's website or call 913-715-6900 to set up an appointment for disposal. This service is free for Johnson County Residents and conveniently located at College and Hwy 69, across from the Water Treatment Facility.
