Help your children create a journal or blog and interview their grandparents. Make 2 copies, one to keep and one to share. You can create an online blog that can be updated each year.
Grandparents can also create their own questions to ask each grandchild to create a special yearbook of memories. See sample questions at KC Parent Grandparent Interview. Check out the many articles at KCParent.com OTHER IDEAS FOR GRANDPARENT'S DAY - Write a letter, go to church with them, make coupons for grandparents to cash in with activities with their grandchildren, plant a tree together, build something together, or help the grandparent by doing a task for them (such as yard work, painting a room or washing their car). If grandparents are no longer here, talk about their history with your children and what they were like as a parent to you, cook one of the grandparents' family recipes, plant a tree in their honor, do something they loved, and write about why that was special to them. The most important thing is to consider the legacy they created for you. Make them feel special if they are here, and find ways to carry on that legacy.
